A few shots from the table we set up for our big Christmas dinner.
This year R. and I got to spend the holidays with family in Tennessee and take part in some of our favorite traditions, one of them being a HUGE brunch on Christmas morning. It involves an insane amount of food… country ham, biscuits, scrambled eggs, bacon, cheese grits, sausage wheels, fresh fruit, tamales (a tradition started by my dad’s brother who used to send us fresh ones from Texas), etc. Needless to say, you definitely need a nap to recover from the food induced coma that follows. And this was just breakfast! More from our holiday dinner soon…
I had the chance to photograph two secret weddings this year. Two! I felt so honored to be one of the few people who got to celebrate this special day with both couples and capture it for them so they can share it with loved ones down the road. So even though I can’t share the images yet, I wanted to say congrats to my lovely (and in love) couples!
A little over a year ago I was lucky to meet an amazing group of photographers from around the world and this shoot was part of a reunion we had in Chicago in early December. Melissa, Molly and Laura arranged this shoot for us while we were all together and it just happened to snow the night before! Thanks again for such a great reunion!
Hope you had a happy new year celebration! I think my favorite part of new year’s eve is the morning after, reliving the previous night’s events over brunch with your favorite people.
