Susan and Lance were married in Nashville on a beautiful spring day a few weeks ago. Susan and I have known each other since we were little kids, so it was such an honor to be able to capture this day for her. The entire day was filled with so many people who adore Susan and Lance and it really shows. I wish you two all of the best on your new life together!

cory + chris: part I

I was super excited to be able to photograph Cory and Chris’s wedding a couple of weeks ago in Nashville and now am even more excited to post some of my favorite images from the day. The entire celebration was chock full of eye candy, plus Cory and Chris are wonderful to photograph. I mean, when you have an invitation made by Hatch Show Print, you know good things are to come. Cory did an amazing job making most of the details herself and I just love the color palette she chose. Her Lela Rose dress and hairstyle looked as if she stepped out of a scene from the Great Gatsby. All of the beautiful flowers were sourced locally and did I mention that the cupcakes from the Cupcake Collection were to die for?! If you are in the Nashville area, I highly suggest checking them out. The entire day was so perfect and the love for Cory and Chris was abounding. I also had the privilege of having the wonderful Daniel Meigs shooting by my side for the day. Thanks Daniel! This week I wanted to post some details shots, one a day, to go along with beautiful weather we are having (and lets hope it continues!). This first shot is from my brother’s wedding back in June. I love the dreamy quality it has… this definitely makes me think of summer time.

mandy + matt: part II

After the ceremony and reception ended, I took Mandy and Matt on a portrait session through downtown Nashville. We started out at the Standard, went down Broadway by all of the Honky-Tonks and ended up at the beautiful Union Station Hotel. They were such troopers and it made for such a great shoot! Here are some of my favorites from the end of the day…

So… I have been wanting to post these images since the minute I took them. At the end of March I was so happy to be in Nashville shooting Mandy & Matt’s wedding. We had such a great time on their engagement shoot, I knew the wedding would be amazing! They had the ceremony and reception at The Standard at the Smith House, a beautiful townhouse from the 1840’s in downtown Nashville. Here are a few of my favorites from the day… starting with some getting ready shots…
