I met Caitlin a few months ago when we both attended one of the fabulous Sunday Suppers classes and have kept in touch through twitter and her blog (dedicated to good food, good drinks and good friends). A few weeks ago we met up on a beautiful NY summer afternoon to take a few photographs of Caitlin and Billy around the city before they embarked on a move across the country back to their home state of California. New York is definitely sad to see you two go!

I’ve been traveling a lot lately and have stayed in some hotels with great decor and design, so I thought I’d post some images of a few of my favorite places. The Ace Hotel didn’t require much traveling beyond a cab ride (they have hotels in Portland, Seattle and Palm Springs as well NYC) but we stayed there for a special occasion and loved it…

Arcade games, palm readings, Nathan’s famous hot dogs, the boardwalk, lots of wind and a subway ride home… I don’t think it could have been a more perfect day!

Jen and Scott let me spend the day with them at City Hall (and later on at Coney Island) for what was going to be an engagement session and turned into a pre-wedding wedding! The intimate ceremony was so fun to capture. They are having their wedding with friends and family in a few weeks and I know it is going to be a great celebration all around. First up, the city hall ceremony…
