I’ve got some exciting news for Kate Murphy Photography… my NEW portfolio site is launching today! Thanks to the great talents of Russ and Jessica, I now how a lovely new brand and website to boot. These cookies can make a person weak in the knees (in a good way) and they just happen to be made not very far from me at Levain Bakery. The top one is dark chocolate and peanut butter chip and the bottom cookie is your classic chocolate chip with walnuts. I dare you to try them and not LOVE every bite. I see a cookie intervention in my future…

First off, where did January go? I can’t believe it is already February! I got back a few rolls of film from the lab that I took with my Holga and, as part of a new year’s resolution, I thought I would post a single shot a day this week. This first shot is from the Tuscany, but I feel like it could be from a tropical island. I guess I’m trying to bring warm thoughts on during these cold winter days.

Jon and Chelsea are good friends that got married recently in Telluride, CO. Reid and I went to the wedding as guests and had such an amazing time (I only took my instant cameras along… more to be posted from them later). Despite not having all of our family in the same city, this may have been one of the best Christmas celebrations we have had because of the little bundle of cuteness that was delivered. A few days before Christmas, my sister gave birth to little Emily and she brought that holiday spirit with her. It was so fun to hold a little one again and seeing the family grow.

So, Spring has been peeking its head around the corner up here, but has not decided to stay just yet. As a way to coax it out, I thought I would post some nice, sunny, spring time pics (even though these were taken on a weirdly warm day back in February). This was documentation of my first time to walk the brooklyn bridge even though I have been here almost 2 years. My hubby and our pup, Bonnie, went along as well even if she wasn’t exactly excited about it at some points. Take a look…
