A little shoot I did for a friend and fellow photographer while she was stopping through London back in December for her birthday. Mireen & Markus are two of the nicest people you could meet and they requested a shoot done all on the Rollei and Lomo LC-A. Mireen takes beautiful photographs herself and you should check out her work here. And to top it all off, these two lucky ducks saw the Queen while they were in town!
ol’ blue
My new wheels for toodling about town. Makes running errands a lot more fun but still getting used to riding on the left side of the road!
cameron
I met Cam, along with lots of other great photographers, at the Art & the Heart workshop back in July and he was kind enough to pose for me. He is half of a great husband/wife photography duo- check out their work here.
photo booth festival
We may have had a little bit too much fun at the Photo Booth festival this weekend in east London.
fairy-bug
This beautiful little niece of mine has grown up a lot since the last time I did a post of her. She loves to dance, sing, eat cupcakes (any sugar really), wear tutus, play with her momma and poppa, and now she also has a baby sister to love on. It has been a blessing to spend time with them when I am in London and can’t wait until I am back! Until then, hugs from across the pond Glo!
columbia road
With all of the traveling I have been doing back and forth between NYC and London, my time for exploring has been limited but I still I try and do as much of it as possible. The latest thing I did in London was head to the Sunday flower market on Columbia Road. It was a smorgasbord of beautiful buds surrounded by unique shops. I was by myself for this trip, so it was little difficult to photograph the market and carry all of the flowers I bought, but that gives me all the more reason to visit again!
london calling
It has been pretty quiet on the blog lately and I can say it is due to the fact that up until a few days ago my husband and I have been stuck in a little bit of a life limbo. Back in the fall an opportunity to move abroad to London came about and after many hours of discussion, we decided to take it!
We had lived in London for the first couple years of our marriage and it has always been a special city to us, but simply because we wanted to move back didn’t mean it was official– we still had to apply for visas. After filling out an insane amount of paper work and gathering a lifetime of supporting documents, this passed Friday we got the official word that our visas had been approved, thus the end of being in limbo!
The moving process starts this week and even though it is a little bit daunting to think about, but we are both so excited. As far as my work is concerned, I will still be shooting in the states for certain months out of the year with plans to expand business in London and Europe. Basically, I will be based out of 2 cities- NYC and London, but willing to travel the world. Can’t wait to share more about this adventure we are about to embark on and hope you enjoy it with us!
