I’ve been traveling a lot lately and have stayed in some hotels with great decor and design, so I thought I’d post some images of a few of my favorite places. The Ace Hoteldidn’t require much traveling beyond a cab ride (they have hotels in Portland, Seattle and Palm Springs as well NYC) but we stayed there for a special occasion and loved it…
Laura and Rush had an elegant and intimate celebration on a beautiful spring night on the UES in Manhattan. The entire evening seemed to be bathed in the warm glow of candle light as friends and family gathered to celebrate the happy couple.
Arcade games, palm readings, Nathan’s famous hot dogs, the boardwalk, lots of wind and a subway ride home… I don’t think it could have been a more perfect day!

Jen and Scott let me spend the day with them at City Hall (and later on at Coney Island) for what was going to be an engagement session and turned into a pre-wedding wedding! I have been away from NY for a week and on my run this morning I was struck by the amazing blooms everywhere that popped up while I was gone… so I grabbed my sx-70 to capture the loveliness…
Freshly fallen snow, ear muffs, a plaid scarf, ranunculus… all of these add up to a great engagement shoot with Molly and Matt. We took advantage of the big snow fall from the night before and I’m so glad we did! Molly and Matt, thanks for trudging through the snow with me and I can not wait to capture your wedding day in a few months!
