squash blossoms

Picked these beauts up at the UWS farmer’s market. Stuffed them with a little bit of goat cheese and herbs then sauteed them for a bit. Yummy!

martha’s vineyard

This was my first trip to Martha’s Vineyard and I absolutely fell in love with the island. We had a weekend filled with good friends, lots of relaxing and just enjoying being out of the city for a bit. Many thanks to Paul, our great host for the weekend who showed us the highlights and opened his home to us. There are definitely wheels turning trying to figure out when we can make a return trip! (All of the images shot on Fuji Pro 400H or 800Z)

jen + scott

Jen and Scott’s wedding was featured on Once Wed this week, you can check it out here and here to find out some more details about the day.  I was so excited for this wedding the first time I met Jen. She has a great eye for detail and did an amazing job making the entire day unique for her and Scott.  The ceremony was held in Central Park and then we headed down to Brooklyn for the reception at Frankies Spuntino.  All of the beautiful flowers were created by Saipua.  And I can’t forget to mention the photo booth… good times had by all!  Congrats Jen & Scott!

4th of July

This is how we spent our 4th of July in Beach Haven, NJ: afternoons on the beach, bike rides, lobster rolls, morning runs, boylan’s root beer, long walks, old bay spiced crabs, backyard games, ice cream trucks, lots of pups, long naps, beautiful sunsets and great company. Thank you so much to the Singer family for opening your beautiful home to us for the long weekend. It was a great 4th of July!

lisa + dan

Barely 45 minutes outside of Manhattan, Lisa and Dan celebrated their wedding with friends and family at Round Hill in Washingtonville, NY. The light during their ceremony was amazing and just seemed to wrap around the couple and made their happiness even brighter. And let me say, I have never seen a party dance as hard as these guys did… they’d probably still be dancing the day away if they didn’t ever have to leave… enjoy!

missing italia

Remembering my time traveling in Italy with a homemade pork ragout on some fresh pasta (not homemade unfortunately) topped with parmesan. Delish!

cecilia + john

This was only my second time to visit Philadelphia and I am so happy that I was able to be there to capture Cecilia and John’s wedding day. The day was full of beautiful light, traveling the city and lots of Irish touches. I hope you enjoy the photographs!

The beautiful shot below was taken by the lovely Angie, who shot with me throughout the day.

happy weekend!

Just wanted to post this photo and wish you all a happy weekend! I’ve been shooting more and more film lately (I’d guess about 90% of what I’ve been posting on the blog is film) and am falling back in love with it with every shot. I send all of my film to Richard Photo Lab to be processed and scanned and LOVE the colors of everything that comes back from them. Enjoy!

terrain

I shot a great wedding in Philadelphia a few weeks ago and the day after the wedding I had some time to kill, so I headed over to Terrain after reading about it on lots of blogs. The store is amazing and I managed to pick up a few goodies and finished off my visit with lunch at their cafe (the lavender and honey butter was soooo good). Here are a few shots, mainly of the cafe…

anna russell + christopher

Anna Russell and Christopher’s wedding was truly a southern soiree in Nashville. I absolutely adored her Oscar de la Renta dress and all of the classic touches they had throughout the evening.
