Ann Stewart & Pearson welcomed guests who had traveled across the country to a family friend’s home to kickoff the weekend celebrations with a summer soiree. It was a perfect summer evening filled with the sounds of bluegrass and that sweet southern air. More images from the wedding celebration to come soon!
I’ve been so lucky to get to know the Doss family over the years and have loved seeing the kids grow up with each family photo session. The last four images crack me up– it was the end of the shoot and I just let the kids do whatever they wanted. You can definitely see their different personalities coming out.
A few shots from a shoot I did earlier this summer out in Southampton at the newly revamped Capri Hotel. It’s pretty rainy in NYC today and I thought the colors could brighten up someone’s day. The Lovely Maggie Waltemath of Meyer Davis Studio was the mastermind behind this project. Maggie also has a blog where you can catch up on all things design here.
Thought this shoot would be a nice send off into the holiday weekend… Emily & John hung out with me in Dumbo a few weeks ago and we even ventured out onto the Brooklyn bridge despite the windy weather. These two were great to hang with and geek out on some photography stuff for a while (John has started shooting film too!).
Kaitlyn & Brian made the trek up to NYC on a perfect fall day for their engagement shoot around town (a few weeks later than we had originally planned because of the crazy snow storm at the end of October) and it was great being able to enjoy the day with them. Kaitlyn is the sister of this past groom and I must say, I am really excited to see the whole family again for their wedding next year. You can view the entire shoot here.
So excited to have Coutney & Kevin’s Adirondack wedding featured in the latest issue of WellWed New York! This was such a fun wedding to be a part of- it really felt like we were part of the family for the weekend. I’ll post some more of my favorites later this week, but you can also pick it up on newsstands today!
Just a ferry ride away, we spent this overcast afternoon on Governors Island at Pig Island- an event for pork lovers. We ate to our hearts’ content, drank some good beer and enjoyed the island. Until next season Governors Island!

I have to apologize for the long post, but I felt like this wedding was so sweet that it needed to be seen from beginning to end. Yijun & Xiaomo let me spend the day with them from getting ready at the Greenwich Hotel, to their ceremony at City Hall and then around to some favorite spots in the city. It was such a beautiful celebration (we missed a huge rain storm by about five minutes!) and I want to wish them many happy years together!
